The Graduate School of Societies, Politics and Public Health of the University of Bordeaux offers a PhD Studentship regarding "The Ecosystem Approach and the sustainable management of forests in Aquitaine: A political sociology of science-politics interactions".
The Unit ‘Environment, Actors and Territorial Dynamics’ of the French National Research Institute on Science, Technology, Environment and Agriculture at Bordeaux (Irstea) invites applications for a PhD studentship in political science on the Ecosystem Approach, ecosystem science-politics interactions, and the sustainable management of forests in Aquitaine.
Start Date: 01 October, 2015
End Date: 30 September, 2018
PhD Supervisor: Caitríona Carter, IRSTEA (ETBX), Bordeaux
- Masters in political science or equivalent;
- Strong working knowledge of French to conduct field work and carry out documentary analysis;
- Experience and grasp of institutionalist analysis, public policy analysis and/or analysis of environmental policy or sustainable management of natural resources would be appreciated.
- Please note that there is a possibility of doing a 6 month work placement before the start of the PhD studentship (click here for more information).

Monthly salary = 1623.22 €
